The grand piece in the game of chess, and considered the most pivotal piece on the board is called the “King.” The goal or object of the game is to protect your King while strategizing how to conquer your opponent’s King. Chess is described as “an abstract game with no hidden information and no elements of chance.” In other words, you must have a solid understanding of the game, its moves, and an underlying skill or strategy of what to do next.
 
Even though our relationship with God is in no way a game, these same principles are how it works between Him and us. There is no hidden information or elements of chance. The Bible, God’s Word, clearly relays and expresses God’s plan and purposes for our lives.

She has authored six books, and has taught writing classes and emotional health and wholeness classes at a Dallas-based Bible College. Polly has her B.A. in Theology and Biblical Studies and a Masters in Pastoral Ministry from Life Christian University.
